Artifact Reproductions of Prehistoric Pendants and Beads

These pendants and beads are testament to the high level of artistry that Native Americans incorporated into personal adornment. Archaeologists learn about past culture and social organization from this type of non-utilitarian artifact. The original artifacts were manufactured from Abalone and Olivella shell, bird ulnae and fish vertebrae, soapstone, marble, and jade; these reproductions were made using a variety of techniques, pigments, and casting polymers.
